We arrange complete private tours for English-speaking residents of the Gulf — flights, hotels, transfers, English-speaking guides and the visa paperwork that comes with holding a non-GCC passport. You confirm the dates; we handle the rest.
Khobraa Travels is the English-language arm of a licensed Saudi travel and tourism agency, operating under Maqam Al-Ru'ya Company and registered with the Makkah Municipality. We build private, guided itineraries rather than selling seats on a fixed departure, and most of our work is for people who live in the Gulf rather than people visiting it.
That distinction matters more than it sounds. A traveller flying out of Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Dubai or Doha on a residence permit faces a different set of problems from someone flying out of London or Chicago: visa applications judged on your passport rather than your address, appointment slots that are scarce at certain consulates, and leave that is measured in days rather than weeks. Those are the problems we are actually built to solve.
We are not a booking site and we do not try to be the cheapest option. What we sell is a trip that is already worked out — and someone reachable on WhatsApp in your own timezone if something changes while you are away.
Khobraa Travels began with a small group of Saudi travellers who had spent more than 15 years, between them, working in tourism before they ever put their own name on a company. They had planned other people's trips for over a decade and kept noticing the same gap: the traveller who could afford a well-run holiday, but not the time to chase five suppliers and hope they all confirmed. In 2022 they registered Khobraa Travels to close that gap properly — one team, one WhatsApp thread, one person accountable for the whole itinerary from the flight to the final transfer home.
The idea behind the company hasn't changed since: a trip abroad is one of the few things money buys that is actually meant to be enjoyed, not managed. If you are spending your limited leave and your own money on it, you shouldn't also be spending your evenings on hold with an airline or refreshing a visa portal. That is our job, not yours.
Day to day, that 20-person team is who answers your WhatsApp message, builds your itinerary and follows up while you are travelling — supported by English-speaking guides on the ground for the destinations we run. Behind them, we work directly with airlines, hotel groups and the international reservation systems that the travel industry runs on worldwide, rather than reselling through a middleman — which is what lets us hold a price and confirm a booking quickly instead of waiting on someone else's availability.
Most of the people we plan for are Western professionals on a residence visa somewhere in the Gulf — the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman or Saudi Arabia — in senior or specialist roles that leave real income but limited time off. That combination shapes almost everything about how we run a trip: itineraries built around a fixed number of leave days rather than an open-ended holiday, a guide who can hold a conversation in English rather than point at a map, and a visa process handled by people who already know what a UK, Schengen or Japanese consulate expects from a non-GCC passport held on a Gulf residence permit. If that's not your situation, we can usually still help — but it's who the service is actually designed around.
You should be able to check that a travel company is real before you send it money. These are our registration details as they appear on the Saudi Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs' Balady platform. Verify them yourself.

The expiry date is given in the Hijri calendar because that is how the licence is issued. We have not converted it, so that what you read here matches the official record exactly.
Applying for a Schengen, UK, Japanese or Chinese visa as a third-country national resident in the Gulf is a different process from applying at home, and the cost of getting it wrong is the whole trip. We prepare the application with you and tell you plainly what the requirement is for your nationality. We cannot promise an outcome — nobody honestly can — but we can make sure the file is right before it is submitted.
An English-speaking guide travels with you, and the person planning your trip answers in English. Where we work in Arabic-speaking countries — Morocco, Egypt, Jordan — our team speaks the local language too, which is the difference between a guided visit and a negotiated one.
Most of our clients are working professionals with a fixed number of days off. We plan itineraries around the leave you actually have, the school holidays your children actually take, and flight timings that do not waste a day of it.
A local company with a licence, an address and a phone number that a person answers, in your timezone. If a train is cancelled in Uzbekistan or a hotel gets it wrong in Nairobi, you have somewhere to go that is not an online form.
Four steps, from your first message to being back home with the trip already behind you.
Send your dates, your nationality, roughly who's travelling and what you have in mind — a country, a type of trip, or just "somewhere warm in February." You don't need to have it planned out; that's our part.
A day-by-day plan and a single total price, usually within 24 hours. If something in it doesn't suit your leave, your budget or your family, you tell us and we adjust it before anything is confirmed.
Once you approve it, we lock in flights, hotels and guides, and start any visa paperwork your nationality needs. You get confirmation numbers and a clear point of contact, not a folder of separate emails from separate suppliers.
Your guide and our team are contactable for the length of the trip, not just up to the day you leave. If a flight changes or a hotel gets something wrong, you tell us and we fix it — that's still our job after you've paid, not before.
Send us your dates, your nationality and roughly what you have in mind. We will come back with a written itinerary and a price, usually within 24 hours — and we will tell you honestly if what you are asking for does not work in the time you have.
